Supplemental medical benefits, through Assurity, help protect you and your loved ones financially when you experience an unexpected health event. You are responsible for the cost of this benefit and can elect coverage for yourself, your spouse, and your children.
Accident Insurance
Accidents can happen any time. You may buy Accident insurance to help pay for expenses related to unexpected accidents and injuries, such as emergency room visits, medical exams, hospital stays, and physical therapy. The benefit amount is determined by the injury and medical care received and is paid in a lump sum amount.

Critical Illness Insurance
Critical Illness insurance helps you pay for expenses related to the new diagnosis of a critical illness such as a heart attack, cancer, multiple sclerosis, major organ failure, or stroke. You may receive up to a $3,000 payment upon diagnosis. Rates for Critical Illness Insurance are based on age and are available in Employee Navigator during your enrollment process.

Hospital Indemnity Insurance
An unexpected hospital stay can be expensive, even with medical insurance. Hospital Indemnity insurance helps you cover expenses and bills related to being admitted or confined in a hospital. You will receive a $1,000 benefit for hospital admission including a stay of 23+ hours and an additional $300 per day for a maximum of 10 days when hospitalized. Benefits are paid directly to you and the funds can be used as you see fit.

Voluntary Life Insurance
Voluntary Life Insurance pays money to your loved ones if you die, but also offers a "living benefit" is you are diagnosed with a terminal illness. Employees can choose from $10,000 to $500,000. Your spouse coverage cannot exceed 100% of your coverage amount. You children can get up to $10,000. You may also be eligible for Identity theft assistance, travel assistance, and beneficiary assistance. You will have the option to easily convert your life insurance policy to an individual policy. In addition, you are also eligible for portability coverage.
